As part of the
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription tomorrow sees the arrival of
EA Play -- with the hold up being integrating the offerings with the Xbox App for Windows 10. As per the service this will see the arrival of games like
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order,
FIFA 20,
Titanfall 2 and
Need for Speed Heat alongside some classic too like
Command & Conquer.
This also means that the previously announced coming to Xbox Game Pass for Console release
Star Wars: Squadrons will be playable on PC too. Very cool.
To play EA Play titles you will need an EA Account and follow a few stepts as per the image above to link that to your Xbox Account. The steps include installing the game in the Xbox App, signing into your EA Account, linking that to Xbox, and then installing and launching via EA Desktop. So yeah, games will be visible in the Xbox App but require EA Desktop to run (which is the replacement for Origin). A little confusing but hey, it wouldn't be PC if there weren't multiple launchers and things involved.
