Headed to the console this July, it looks like Sony is finally allowing EA Access to come to the PlayStation 4 - which probably means it'll be there when the PlayStation 5 launches too. Previously exclusive to the Xbox platform (with Origin Access being the PC version), the service offers players access to a library of EA games past and present to play as part of a monthly or annual subscription fee.

Which also extends to early access and deals for bigger AAA releases. The EA Access monthly fee $6.99 AUD or annual subscription of $39.99 AUD will be available through the PlayStation Store.

“As we continue to invest in digital and subscription services, bringing our games to even more people across both consoles is an exciting opportunity for everyone,” said Matt Bilbey, Executive VP of Strategic Growth. “Our goal is to give players more choice to try and play our games wherever and however they choose and we’re happy to bring the service to PlayStation 4.”

As part of EA Access subscribers also get Play First Trials for games not on the service offering up to 10 hours of play - in addition to a discount if they choose to buy. Current titles on EA Access include entries from franchises like Battlefield, FIFA, Star Wars Battlefront, and more.
