One of the longest gameplay demos to showcase the power of the Xbox One X was kept to the end of the Xbox E3 Briefing, when we got a closer look at BioWare's Anthem. Announced yesterday, we got see the game in motion. Part Destiny, part Titanfall, all awesome. After the Mass Effect Andromeda fiasco, BioWare is back in a big way.
Prior to the announcement of Anthem, word on the street was that BioWare was cooking up a Destiny-like open-world online shooter. And the results are pretty damn impressive. From the moment you read "Everything you are about to see was captured in-game running in real-time" to witnessing someone jet-packing through a lush forest environment, Anthem could be one of our most anticipated 2018 titles based on this demo alone.
In Anthem, a new shared-world action-RPG from EA's BioWare studio, team up with friends as Freelancers — the bold few with the courage to leave civilization behind and explore a landscape of primeval beauty.
With the only downside being the whole Ubisoft style, real-people talking all serious like in a demo for an online game.
