With Microsoft's E3 conference it was all about bringing the Xbox brand under one banner that exists as both a standalone console and as part of the Windows 10 experience. Pretty much all the first-party titles on display carried the Xbox Play Anywhere title which means that buying the game once means you can play it on either device. A very cool new approach that will see also see the company's biggest upcoming titles like Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, and Halo Wars 2 being playable on PC alongside the Xbox One.
And in the case of games like Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3 this also means cross-platform play across both campaign and competitive content. Although the following video showcasing the feature kind of sells it as something that will let you play Xbox titles either in the living room or swinging on a hammock with a laptop in your, err, lap, this is a very cool move for Microsoft. And one that's been a long time coming.
Now if we can get Xbox One Backwards Capability to also work with Windows 10, we'll be set.
