Dying Light 2 Stay Human is on track for a December 7 release, making it one of the most anticipated releases for the Holiday season. And if today's gameplay slice is anything to go by, it might just be one of the most tense (and intense) zombie experiences ever made. Yeah, this stealth mission into an abandoned hospital is something else...

Sneaking past scores of "sleeping" zombies, getting to witness various monstrosities and horrors up-close-and-personal -- and in the dark no less -- I may just need a, err, undergarment change... for reasons.

Over twenty years ago in Harran, we fought the virus—and lost. Now, we’re losing again. The City, one of the last large human settlements, is torn by conflict. Civilization has fallen back into the Dark Ages. And yet, we still have hope.

You are a wanderer with the power to change the fate of The City. But your exceptional abilities come at a price. Haunted by memories you cannot decipher, you set out to learn the truth… and find yourself in a combat zone. Hone your skills, as to defeat your enemies and make allies, you’ll need both fists and wits. Unravel the dark secrets behind the wielders of power, choose sides and decide your destiny. But wherever your actions take you, there's one thing you can never forget—stay human.

As a stealth mission it looks incredible, cinematic and tense in all the right ways -- which works wonderfully with the parkour movement that is Dying Light. Not to mention the 4K visuals, which feature impressive lighting, animation and pulsating chunks of fleshy nastiness. Just look at those mandibles.

Yeah, if Dying Light 2 Stay Human wasn't on your radar by now -- this is enough to bust out the digital calendar and start the countdown. It's headed to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
