Even though Driveclub developer Evolution Studios may be no more, the studio looks to be getting a victory lap with the announcement of Driveclub VR. Which will be a launch title for PlayStation VR. The new version of the game will be a full game too and not a demo. And in addition to VR and 3D audio support, the racer will also include a few new tracks.

Which is very cool, because racing and VR go together like, err, two thing that go together!

Evolution Studios' former employee Paul Rustchynsky confirmed that the team worked on the game prior to the studio's closure back in March. The team behind Driveclub and the upcoming Driveclub VR, which has mostly been absorbed by Codemasters, is working on a new racing IP.

DriveClub VR will be released alongside PlayStation VR hardware on October 13.
