A short and
to the point tweet from developer Red Thread Games has revealed (via
Joystiq) that their upcoming episodic adventure game Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey has made the PlayStation 4 their exclusive console home.
Now, before PC fans start pulling their hair out, Red Thread
has noted that this is console exclusive only, and that you can expect the modern continuation of Ragnar Tørnquist's cult-classic adventure series The Longest Journey to still be on PC. Players will once again assume the role of Dreamfall: The Longest Journey heroine Zoë Castillo as she explores the ethereal, almost dreamlike realm of Arcadia and the comparatively staid world of Stark, though Red Thread also claims that April Ryan, heroine of the original The Longest Journey, will also appear in Dreamfall Chapters.
Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey will be making its debut on PC come a November 2014 launch, with PlayStation 4 to come soon after.
