Confirming what looks like all of the rumours, Bethesda has now officially announced Dragonborn, the next major downloadable content expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Watch it below (or here for the
HD video page).
There's no brief outside of the video yet, but the clip features another Dragonborn as the big bad, demonstrates a character riding a dragon, and shows off various environments of Solstheim, the nordic-themed island off the coast of Morrowind, last seen in the Elder Scrolls 3's Bloodmoon expansion.
Xbox 360 will once again enjoy an exclusivity window for Dragonborn, with a December 4th 2012 release date set, and a price of 1600 Microsoft Points (approx AU$20). No PC launch date has been mentioned, however there was a one month delay between the Xbox 360 and PC launch of the last DLC, Dawnguard, and the PS3 is sadly still yet to receive any DLC.

Edit: I will admit it did catch my attention when he climbed on the back of the dragon....

Also just posted on the Bethesda Forums is the following thread..."Bethesda close to new PS3 and PC DLC" which apparently is "new content for those specified platforms." (It's NOT the Dragonborn DLC it is something new)
No word on what that content is yet though.
