And in case you're not across how this works, what that means is as part of "Challenger Pack #2", "Hero" from Dragon Quest alongside the Yggdrasil’s Altar stage and some Dragon's Quest tunes will join your massive library of characters, stages and soundtracks. But only for those who want to pony up for the DLC.

Not uncommon in the grand scheme of how these things tend to work, and we've already had "Challenger Pack #1" release (featuring Joker from Persona 5). And here's the skinny: it's $32.50 dollerydoos to have the "Fighters Pass" (essentially a season pass) where Nintendo drops five new characters, stages and a few extras over a drawn out period which comes to around $6-ish per character. On top of this, however, is Online Tournament Mode, Video Editing Tools, new Mii Fighter Costumes, "Spirit Board Battle Set 1" (something exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers and a new Adventure Mode Difficulty in a Very Easy setting.

So, value for money. Depending on which way you look at it.

Watch a new video for "Hero" embedded below. (Fair warning, it's over 20-minutes long.)
