I sat in on two Dead Rising 3 preview sessions at E3 this year -- one at the Capcom booth that was a full room with no room for questions, and the other at an Xbox One behind closed doors session with developer Capcom Vancouver where I didn't shut up with the questions.
The end result is a pretty solid understanding of the Xbox One launch title alongside a number of excellent quotes from the team, especially executive producer, Josh Bridge. We learn about the game's unique use of Kinect and SmartGlass (arguably the best of E3 in my opinion), the team's change in the game's tone, what's new and what has carried over from previous entries and, more importantly, the expanded role zombies will play in Dead Rising 3.

I understand that you can just run around in the game and do whatever you want, ignoring the timer, but that somehow doesn't feel right to me, plus you end up with a very trucated experience since the game end when the timer runs out anyway.
What's wrong with including a sandbox mode I ask you?
