The recent
Diablo IV beta was the largest in franchise history, with Blizzard revealing some of the tasty stats from two weekends of access to Sanctuary. The result was close to 62 million hours played and 3 billion monsters slayed. However, the Butcher did his best to even the score by butchering 1.7 million players.
Here's a look at some of the figures, which also confirm that the Sorcerer and Necromancer were the most played classes. Something that should carry over to the full release on June 6, 2023.
And speaking of carrying over, with 2.6 million Beta Wolf Packs earned (an adorable in-game wolf pet) that means that amount of players hit Level 20. This is an important stat because it speaks to just how great Diablo IV is even when limited to Act I and the first 25 levels of character progression. It reinforces the game and franchise as one of the most immediately engaging action RPG experiences you can have.
Above all though, these figures pave the way for Diablo IV potentially break a number of sales records when the game is fully out.
