Diablo 3's resolution on Xbox One will be bumped up to native 1080p with a launch-day patch, developer Blizzard Entertainment has revealed.
Speaking to
GameSpot, Blizzard associate producer Tiffany Wat noted that the Xbox One version of Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will be "native 1080p resolution." The resolution will be applied in a day-one patch, improving upon its original 900p resolution.
Earlier, Blizzard had expressed hope that it would eventually be able to boost the resolution to 1080p, but indicated that it didn't expect to be able to get there by launch. The studio previously confirmed that the game runs in native 1080p on PS4; both versions feature a frame rate of 60 frames per second.
Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will be launching on August 19th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Existing PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players can now port their saves across to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, respectively.
