From Nomada Studio, GRIS is set to offer a serene and beautiful play experience to match its wonderful art style. As per the description given players won't have to worry about danger, death, or frustration, and instead soak up the narrative experience through some light puzzles and possible lighter platforming. How this will factor into the longevity is anyone's guess but the change in focus is an interesting one.

Plus, it looks fantastic - with just about every frame in the announcement trailer looking like it belongs on a wall somewhere.

Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality. As the story unfolds, Gris will grow emotionally and see her world in a different way, revealing new paths to explore using her new abilities.

GRIS will be playable at Gamescom, with a planned December release date for the Nintendo Switch and PC.
