Most pre-order announcements aren't generally worth sharing as in the days of digital distribution with little to no risk of stocks running low, there's not generally a whole lot of sense in departing with your cash before you can actually get your hands on the game.
Limited Collector's Editions however -- with all their shiny, tangible augments -- are still an exception to this and Namco Bandai Partners, the Australian distributor for Deus Ex: Human Revolution has reminded us that pre-orders for theirs have launched nationwide today.
The specially designed Collector’s Box is chock-full of features enriching the DEUS EX world for players, including:
· Highly collectable Adam Jensen action figurine designed by Play Arts Kai
· Explosive Mission Pack: An entirely new mission with a special cameo appearance from one of the original DEUS EX characters
· Exclusive in-game weapons: Automatic Unlocking Device, M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED), Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher, Huntsman Silverback Double-Barrel Shotgun, SERSR Longsword Whisperhead silenced sniper rifle
· 10,000 extra credits to buy or upgrade weapons
· DVD featuring a 44-minute “making of” special, 30-minute game soundtrack, motion-comic (adapted from DC Comics’ official series), E3 trailer and animated storyboard
· 40-page art book
Units are reportedly individually numbered and only available at three selected Australian retailers: EB Games, JB Hi-Fi and GAME. Check out the embedded trailer (
or here for HD) for a showcase of the packged goods.
Deus Ex Human Revolution is due on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 25th 2011.

But seriously the most appealing this for me in that is the art book and extra mission... I'm hoping the cameo is Gunther
