We have Adam 'Grizz' Mathew on the case, who has sunk the better part of his life of the past two weeks into Destiny's newest content drop, thanks to an invite out to Bungie, but rather than give you the final word now, he's waiting to tackle the raid content before serving up his final verdict. Also, the game is out now.

A dark shadow has fallen over our worlds. Oryx, The Taken King, is hell-bent on vengeance and is raising an army. You must find a way into his impenetrable Dreadnaught ship to defeat him before he and his dark army consume our civilization and bring our solar system to ruin.
According to Grizz, the new content addresses every angle of chagrin players had with vanilla Destiny in new and rewarding ways, specifically in the story delivery department, which has us wondering if maybe it's time to jump back in. How about you? Will you be lacing up your Guardian outfit to get back out into the cosmos?

Kinda pissed they don't even allow you to buy the base game on psn anymore.
If you want it you need to buy the f*****g legendary edition which includes all the dlc or haha, get this, buy the standard version which still requires a f*****g game that as far as I can tell, doesn't even exist on the store anymore. GG Bungie you greedy twats.

I was really enjoying it till I got to the last boss. He's the cheapest bullet sponge piece of s*** I've had to fight in a game probably since the original destiny. Fight goes on for way too long cos he has way too much health but doesn't actually do much except shoot at you, so it just turns into 10 minutes of hiding behind a wall and poking your head out to shoot him then ducking back before he shoots you. Eventually you go into a final phase where he's immune 90% of the time and is only not immune while he's charging at you with his supercheap one hit instakill attack. Then when I inevitably get hit by it because I'm trying to put damage into him to just try and make this bulls*** end, it returns you to a checkpoint near the start of the fight so you have to go through the bullet sponge phase all over again. God knows why they didn't put a checkpoint at the start of the last phase.

I was starting to think maybe Destiny had changed, but nope, its the same grind s*** I got sick of last year. Giving a boss a gazillion hitpoints and a cheap instakill move doesn't make it hard, it just makes it s***.

I may have got prematurely salty, seems I was actually undergeared for that fight and when I came back with better gear I killed it first go.

Still a s***, uninspired cheapass bulletsponge of a boss though.

Haha. I caved and bought the stupid legendary thingo and have been playing all weekend. much fun, I love the art style and the world/dungeon design.
I got an orb of light to boost me to 25 but haven't used it yet, thought I'd check out all the old s*** first.
