Those of you who may have picked up an Xbox One and contemplating whether to throw down your hard earned cash at Capcom's zombie-killing title Dead Rising 3 will be happy to hear that a limited 20-minute demo is now available to satisfy your undead tastebuds.
The announcement comes from
Xbox Live's Major Nelson, who also revealed new details on the very first DLC you can expect for Dead Rising 3. Titled Operation Eagle, the new DLC will put you in the boots of Spec Ops Commander Adam Kane who is given a mission that "challenges everything he believes in" — he has to find and capture the President of the United States. It will contain that mission plus five new weapons to tinker with, a new combo weapon, a new vehicle, an outfit and additional Gamerscore.
As opposed to Nick, who is relatively good willed in nature facing military opposition, Adam is a by the books soldier with a crew of Spec Ops fighting for him. You get to take on some over the top military weapons and an armored vehicle that spews bullets. You get to take on missions that go against what Nick would have fought for, but as you discover through the story you can also relate to how Adam struggles to follow through on his difficult orders.
Capcom's executive producer Josh Bridge revealed that this DLC is only the first of four planned, all revolving around the Untold Stories of Los Perdidos experiences. Each episode will focus on a new individual, one who is trying to survive in parallel with the game's original protagonist Nick Ramos.
Dead Rising 3's demo is now available on Xbox One and the Operation Eagle DLC will be dated at a later time, with a price point of $9.99 though is also included in the Season Pass. You can read up more on the DLC at
Major Nelson's blog post.
