The first cinematic trailer for the original Dead Island caught a lot of well-deserved attention, even from those that didn't think too much of the game, and developer Techland has tried to capture that spirit again for the upcoming follow-up Dead Island Riptide:
Furious monsoon rainstorms have laid waste to the island of Palanai in the Banoi archipelago, waters have risen and caused a flood disaster -- because of this and the raging zombie invasion, a rescue mission for the survivors seems to be without prospect of success. All hope seems to have been lost for the surviving humans...

Dead Island Riptide is due on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2013.
