It was more or less assumed from the theme of the debut trailer and experiences with past Elder Scrolls games that the first downloadable content expansion for the hugely successful Skyrim would allow the player to become a vampire, and now it's not really even a question any longer, as the first batch of screenshots includes a skill page titled "Vampire Lord" that describes the ability to "Kill enemies with the Drain Life or bite power attack to earn perks".

In other Dawnguard news, VG247 is reporting that Bethesda Game Studios' Todd Howard has confirmed a June 26th 2012 release date for the pack on Xbox 360, which given the console's promised 30 day exclusivity window, means the likely PC and PlayStation 3 release date will be around the end of July.
