After Cyberpunk 2077's rough launch, the player base for the highly anticipated open-world action RPG dropped off significantly as developer CD Projekt Red looked to fix and patch issues. Fast forward two years, and with the arrival of the excellent Netflix anime spin-off Edgerunners, Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a new lease on life.

With Steam concurrent players peaking at over 136,000 in the last 24-hours (as per Steamdb) which is a massive increase over the sub 20,000 peak player count the game has seen across the last few months. It's a number that tops the all-time peak player count for The Witcher 3, proving that the time is right for many to jump back into Cyberpunk 2007. Or, play it for the first time as the game is currently sitting on the top of charts on the Steam top seller list.

With several major patches, an expansion on the way, and new features added to the game the Cyberpunk 2077 of today is very different than the one from almost two years ago. And, yeah, it's great to see Night City getting new visitors. And hopefully this means CDPR will look at adding even more to the game in the near future.
