At least that's what we took from it. Otherwise today's launch trailer for Cult of the Lamb, the cute cult management sim that doubles as an amazing roguelike from Aussie studio Massive Monster and Devolver Digital, is just a great bit of insight into the style and tone of the game. But seriously, we could DEFINITELY see this as a Netflix animated series it's that good.
Of course we've already shared our review thoughts on the game, suggesting that Cult of the Lamb is "probably the best game ever made in Australia at this point", citing its breadth of content and its exploration of “what if I did this…?” as a player-drive gameplay system, among many other plaudits.
And none of the above even touches on employing new Doctrines for your cult to follow, or spending the bones found in Crusade runs or from Missionary missions on Cult-buffing Rituals. Or on the effects of a flowered path and other decorations, or on discovery of new lands to explore and new weird and creepy denizens to perform tasks for (love you, Sozo)...
We also wrote in our glowing review.
Cult of the Lamb is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
