With its H. R. Giger inspired art style and a look that is Alien meets Prometheus but even more horrific and organic, Scorn is something that turned heads when it made it to the Xbox Series X showcase last year. Where we also got an in-depth look at 14 minutes of gameplay. Today comes word that a release date/window has finally been set.
As per the suitably creepy trailer above, Scorn is on track for release October 2022 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. This has been a long time coming, for those that have been following the progress of Scorn prior to its Xbox showing it was originally announced way back in 2015 where independent studio Ebb Software was still looking to raise money for its development.
"We’re really pleased to be able to share more news on the game and its release date," said Ljubomir Peklar, CEO of Ebb Software. "Scorn has been a real work of passion for the entire studio. The atmosphere, the journey, and the experience, we want every moment in Scorn to elicit an emotional response and feeling. It is our hope that Scorn stays with players long after they reach its ending. We’re looking forward to sharing more news and updates with our community as we move closer to launch."
Scorn is on track for a Halloween 2022 launch, where it will no doubt creep out more than its fair share of players.
