There comes a time in any company's life where the time is right for a refresh, a reboot, a re-imagining. That's right, logo refresh! Today Ubisoft has done just that by revealing its new look logo, a minor alteration to the design that we've all been seeing since 2003.

Upon revealing the new logo, comedian Jerry Seinfeld had the following to say.

I like the swirl. I'm comfortable with the swirl. I feel the swirl is a great capper. I prefer clockwise, but it's not written in stone.

Or, he was talking to George about The Move.

Anyway here's the equally funny official word on the new logo.

We create worlds – worlds that live as video games, comics, movies, TV shows, books, and amusement park rides. Our new logo is minimalist, modern and monochromatic. It’s a window into our worlds, giving a preview of what’s to come by highlighting the artistry that goes into creating them. The swirl and the letter O are both deliberately created to be reminiscent of hand-drawn shapes and represent our human qualities of enthusiasm, curiosity and the grain de folie that Ubisoft is known for.

Right.

But seriously, Far Cry 5 looks like it will be a lot of fun. Interesting concept.

LOL front view is so right. F*****g Ubisoft DRM on all their games means I no longer by their titles on PC. Still buy the occasional one on Console.
