Which brings the critically acclaimed strategy of
Sid Meier’s Civilization VI to rest of the console gang after its release a while back on the
Nintendo Switch. Out November 22 it will release alongside a
Civilization VI Expansion Bundle that will include all post-release content from the PC version.
Which will also arrive for the Switch. The Sid Meier’s Civilization VI base game will retail for $79.95 AUD across Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with the Civilization VI Expansion Bundle priced at $49.95 AUD. And that will include:
Civilization VI: Rise and Fall – adds new Golden Ages and Dark Ages, a new city Loyalty system, and Governors who can be stationed in players’ cities, giving players new choices, strategies and challenges;
Civilization VI: Gathering Storm – the most successful expansion in franchise history, introduces players to an active planet where geology and climatology present unique new challenges;
18 Additional Civilization Leaders – from the expansions, choose from some of history’s most renowned leaders to help guide your civilization through the ages, each bringing unique bonuses, buildings, units and more.
There is some console exclusivity stuff going on, with PlayStation 4 getting the Nubia Civilization & Scenario Pack and Khmer and Indonesia Civilization & Scenario Pack as part of the base game purchase. These will be available but sold separately for Xbox One players. The good news is that both versions will be getting Aussies, as the Poland Civilization and Scenario Pack, Vikings Scenario Pack, Australia Civilization & Scenario Pack, and Persia and Macedon Civilization & Scenario Pack will be bundled. Here's hoping the
Battle Royale mode makes the jump too.
Phew. Either way, that's a lot of Civilization.
