With each title to deservedly get the royal treatment at this year's show. The line-up, which represents broad range of indie developers from across Australia, and a broad range of styles, is naturally very impressive. From outer-space simulation, to colourful platforming, through to '70s Russian sci-fi inspired point-and-click adventure gaming. There's something for everyone.

With over 100 titles up for selection, you can be sure that each and every one of these finalists will be worth your time. Great stuff all around.

The Adventure Pals
Developed by Massive Monster

So what is The Adventure Pals? Take challenging yet exciting platforming, mix liberally with ridiculous big boss battles, slather on some RPG-style towns and exploration, and you're on the right track! This time, the player is out to rescue dear old Papa, who's going to be turned into a hotdog by the nefarious Mr. B unless you can stop him. Together with the prancing, helicopter-tongue'd Sparkles the giraffe, and the smashing skills of Mr. Rock, you'll romp (and stab) your way through a whopping 125 levels across five different areas, each filled with towns, minigames, and much more.

The Eyes of Ara
Developed by 100 Stones Interactive

The Eyes of Ara is 100 Stones Interactive’s debut title, a puzzle-adventure game about exploration, discovery, and the pursuit of knowledge in the face of fear and intimidation. Leveraging his background as an Environment Artist, lead developer Ben designed The Eyes of Ara to captivate the player through beautiful, engaging environments, with the goal of telling a story organically through exploration and discovery of the game world. The Eyes of Ara seeks to blend classic puzzle-game themes with a more modern take on gameplay and interaction.

Mini Metro
Developed by Dinosaur Polo Club

Mini Metro is a minimalist subway simulation game about designing efficient subway networks. The player must constantly redesign their line layout to meet the needs of a rapidly-growing city.

Objects in Space
Developed by Flat Earth Games

Objects in Space is a modempunk stealth space-trading game set in Apollo – a huge cluster of star systems dozens of lightyears away from Earth. You are a lonesome ship’s captain, buying and selling wares in order to keep your bucket of bolts afloat and stay one step ahead of pirates, organised criminals, corrupt governments and shady laws.

Paradigm
Developed by Jacob Janerka

Paradigm is a surreal point-and-click adventure game set in the strange and post apocalyptic world of Krusz; a land inspired by a mix of Eastern Europe and the 70’s and 80’s. You play as the unattractive yet over-confident mutated Paradigm; who must prevail through inconvenient trials to overcome the insecure yet tyrannical sloth antagonist, Olof! If you liked Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Fallout, Gattaca, Dystopian literature, the Mighty Boosh, Flight of the Concords , Paradigm will undoubtedly tickle your fancy.

Wildfire
Developed by Sneaky Bastards

Wildfire is a stealth platformer where you have the ability to control fire. As this rare, latent power unexpectedly manifests within you, you'll find yourself pursued by a deadly army of swordswomen, skilled archers, and their vicious, trained animals, who fear what you are capable of. Sneak in shadows, creep through tall grass, and conceal yourself in smoke as you summon fire to terrify enemies. Use their fear against them to create opportunities to slip past, or trick them into their own demise - but be careful that the fires you start don't grow out of control and scorch everything in their path - including you!
