Overnight we got an invite to see CD Projekt RED at this year's E3, despite the studio capping off development on The Witcher 3 with the forthcoming Blood and Wine expansion. So, what could they be showing?
The real answer here is it will most likely be that expansion, but the more hopeful part of us is expecting a proper reveal of a digital Gwent game for mobile devices (and hopefully other platforms).
The trouble with the Gwent concept though, is how do you make it a compelling standalone product? There's a finite number of cards in the world of The Witcher 3, so would they go down the Hearthstone route and just create far more cards? Could there be an ever-shifting meta with a Gwent game, or is Gwent more about the poker experience, rather than the Magic/Hearthstone experience?
Could single-player adventure-type scenarios populate any such release, and if so, how would they work?
We want to throw this one out to you to speculate and think on.
Of course, they might also be showing Cyberpunk...
