Originally slated for tomorrow, Activision has informed us the PC open beta for Sledgehammer's Call of Duty: WWII is now available.

And as an early indicator, we played it a little while back and can say it's pretty damn fun, and remains in the Call of Duty vein of multiplayer, but feels a little more pure than previous entries.

    I had a go today. It was ok. Only played deathmatch though. Maximum of 12 players and small maps :(

    The female voices seem out of place.......In a modern setting sure, knock yourself out but WW2, not so much, Except Russia. Russians will use anyone who can hold a gun or a stick.

    The automatic game callouts are idiotic, removes all semblance of trying to stealth skill kill, heavy class gets s*** all over by every other class too lol

    Worth a crack though? What is the MP like to play? Kind of tempted to give it a go but noone seems very enthusiastic.

    It kind of reminds me of Day of Defeat except with the COD perks thrown in.
