With last year's entry in the long-running Call of Duty franchise omitting a campaign in favour of an expanded multiplayer suite, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sees the return of gritty military cinema. And epic mustaches. The story trailer which debuted overnight sees the return of Captain Price in a tale about stolen chemical weapons.
And it definitely showcases the new visual engine and realistic bent of the re-imagined Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Assuming that the footage is made up of real-time or in-engine graphics, well, it looks stunning. Check it out.
In a desperate mission, Captain Price and the SAS will partner alongside the CIA and the Urzikstani Liberation Force to retrieve stolen chemical weapons. The heart-racing fight will take you from London to the Middle East and other global locations, as this joint task force battles to stop full-scale global war.
Lines will be drawn, your resolve will be tested, and the world will look to you to do what needs to be done.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out October 25 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
