Okay, so it's been out there for a while that the PlayStation 4 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is getting an exclusive Special Ops Survival mode. Today a trailer has dropped for it with the misleading words 'First on PS4', in that the first on deal will last for an entire year - and expire right before the release of the next Call of Duty. That said, the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PC trailer looks incredible.
21:9 aspect ratio, uncapped frame-rate, high end features like real-time ray-tracing, and that unmistakable Call of Duty spectacle. Impressive.
And here's a look at the PS4's Special Ops Survival mode. And when we say this doesn't impress, that comes down to the horde-like setup of this mode being something that would be fun to play in 21:9.
That said, we understand the decision to go this route and in the end crossplay support with no more timed map packs will still make Call of Duty: Modern Warfare a big step in the right direction for the series. The latest Call of Duty is out October 25.
