Activision kicked off their E3 2013 business with a live-streamed event a day before the major press conferences get underway, showing off some new scenes from Call of Duty: Ghost.
The full stream event runs for almost 30 minutes, but it's largely just presentation fluff and reasonably uninformative developer comments, so you're best off skipping to the gameplay segments, of which there are two of generous length, as well some additional environment scenes.
The first is titled Into the Deep, and kicks off at around the 3:13 mark, showing off a rather impressive underwater sequence in true call of duty blockbuster corridor-shooter fashion. The second begins at around 14:42 and demonstrates a more conventional Call of Duty scenario, with the addition of the infamous attack dog, now officially named Riley.
At 22 minutes, the event wraps up with a lengthy montage of unusually wide panning shots from environments throughout the game. Catch the lot in the embed below.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is due on November 5 for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U, and on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when they launch.
Update: We have some higher quality clips of both vids available below, with better bitrates and running at 60FPS, from absurdly high-quality renders provided by Activision (720p in the embeds or 1080p if you click though to the source download links in our files library).
That dog bit was...weird. Why would three heavily armed soldiers be afraid of a dog, and better yet how could they bust through a door and shatter it into millions of pieces.
