After the recent Blackout Beta which showcased just how fun and smooth a PUBG-style battle royale experience would feel in a Call of Duty - the latest gameplay trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 shows that it doesn't really need a traditional single-player campaign. And by cutting footage from the multiplayer, zombies, and the new battle royale modes - it certainly feels like a complete package.
And really, launching alongside three zombie co-op campaigns, there will be story there for those wanting that experience. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches worldwide on October 12 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
