The first trailer for Borderlands 2 has landed, fresh from Gamescom. The Gearbox guys have obviously been hard at work on this one since DNF and hopefully it'll see a more solid reception.

The trailer showcases some of the action as character Salvador the Gunzerker "unleashes his special brand of dual-wielding justice on the poor and unsuspecting baddies of Pandora". Watch it below! promoted forum post

I was hoping they'd keep the same characters, expand on them and start the game off on a new planet, one that wasn't so samey and boring. Seems we are getting the opposite.

Pretty sure we only saw a small part of Pandora in the first one Lynx, so hopefully they will take us to some more diverse landscapes than the wastes, as hinted with the snowy region (hoping its not all snow)

Didn't the story from the first game say the planet was mostly just a desolate desert no one would ever want to visit, except for the mining companies.
And the prisoners didn't have a choice.

I suppose they could just retcon that.

Ah, I got the impression they'd only mapped part of it and only found desert so far.
Anyways, I found some of the borderlands lore pretty interesting, even if it only served as as a base for looting awesome guns :P
