With Hearthstone Global Games, Heroes Global Championship Finals, Overwatch World Cup Finals, StarCraft II World Championship Series Global Finals, and World of Warcraft Arena World Championship - BlizzCon 2018 is going to be another huge year for esports. And with five Australian and New Zealand teams competing, that's just one more reason to tune in.

So much so that the action kicks off tomorrow as part of Opening Week competition across the following titles.

    Heroes of the Storm
    • Friday 26/10, Saturday 27/10, Sunday 28/10, Monday 29/10 - From 3:00AM AEDT

    StarCraft II
    • Saturday 27/10, Sunday 28/10, Monday 29/10 - From 3:00AM AEDT

    World of Warcraft Arena
    • Tuesday 30/10 - From 5:00AM AEDT


With full BlizzCon finals competition as follows:
Hearthstone Global Games Finals (HGG):
Cheer on Team New Zealand as they compete against seven other nations to determine who is the best in the world!

  • Day One begins Saturday, 3 November at 6:15 a.m. AEDT/8:15 a.m. NZDT.
  • Day Two begins Sunday, 4 November, Semifinals begin at 3:45 a.m. AEDT/5:45 a.m. NZDT. The Grand Final starts at 7:45 a.m. AEDT/9:45 a.m. NZDT.


Heroes of the Storm Global Championship Finals (HGC):
ANZ Heroes of the Storm veterans, Mindfreak, are ready to compete in Opening Week with hopes of making Quarterfinals on the BlizzCon mainstage.

  • Day One Quarterfinals begin Saturday, 3 November at 6:00 a.m. AEDT/8:00 a.m. NZDT.
  • Semifinals begin on Day Two, Sunday, 4 November, at 3:30 a.m. AEDT/5:30 a.m. NZDT. The best-of-five Finals match is set for 10:15 a.m. AEDT/12:15 p.m. NZDT.


Overwatch World Cup (OWWC):
Cheer on our Aussie representatives as they compete against South Korea on Saturday, 3 November at 12:15 p.m. AEDT/2:15 p.m. NZDT.

  • OWWC Championship Sunday begins 3:30 a.m. AEDT/5:30 a.m. NZDT with the first Semifinal bracket. Catch the Finals preshow 9:45 a.m. AEDT/11:45 a.m. NZDT with the Grand Final kicking off shortly thereafter.


World of Warcraft Arena World Championship (AWC):
Aussie Team, Mad Dog, battled through gruelling regional championship events to secure their spot at BlizzCon Opening Week. If they can perform here, they’ll move on to the AWC Playoffs on the BlizzCon main stage.

  • The AWC Playoffs begin Saturday, 3 November at 6:15 a.m. AEDT/8:15 a.m. NZDT.
  • Day Two begins Sunday, 4 November, and sees the action continue from 8:00 a.m. AEDT/10:00 a.m. NZDT to determine who will earn their place in the AWC Finals taking place at 12:15 p.m. AEDT/2:15 p.m. NZDT.


World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon Invitational All-Stars (MDI):
This special live exhibition tournament summons some of the best WoW dungeon-running teams from around the globe, including ANZ representatives, Order.

  • The first MDI match begins Sunday, 4 November at 3:30 a.m. AEDT/5:30 a.m. NZDT.


StarCraft II World Championship Series Global Finals (WCS) and StarCraft Remastered Exhibition:
Can anyone stop the dominance of hot favourites Joona ‘Serral' Sotala and Cho ‘Maru’ Sung Choo? Watch the world’s best add another chapter to the history of StarCraft esports.

  • Quarterfinals begin Saturday, 3 November at 6:00 a.m. AEDT/8:00 a.m. NZDT. The StarCraft Remastered Exhibition match concludes day one action at 12:15 p.m. AEDT/2:15 p.m. NZDT.
  • Semifinals commence on Day Two, Sunday, 4 November, at 7:30 a.m. AEDT/9:30 a.m. NZDT with the Grand Final preshow beginning 11:30 a.m. AEDT/1:30 p.m. NZDT.
