Which is a fairly logical conclusion to come to after taking a peek at Blizzard's latest cryptic tweet. Which showcases a Diablo light, a literal switch, and the simple phrase "sweet dreams". Because switch = Nintendo Switch, and the Diablo night light = well, Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition. My one word response? Yes! Actually make that two - hell yes!
Ahem, even after pouring in hundreds of hours into the 2012 original and way more into the exceptional 2014 Reaper of Souls expansion the thought of Diablo III on the Switch is definitely cause for excitement. Namely, being able to Rift on the road. Bounties on a bus. Grifting whilst waiting for an Uber.
This isn't the first time Blizzard has made an appearance on a Nintendo console, with the original StarCraft appearing on the Nintendo 64. So there is a precedent. But hey, perhaps this is all just a plug for a new line of Blizzard-themed night lights and we're all reading too much into.
