During EA's E3 2014 press conference, acclaimed RPG studio BioWare offered the first glimpse of its plans for a next Mass Effect game, reaffirming a commitment to tell a new story beyond the previous adventures of commander Shepard, and showing off some prototype footage.

The video's description on Youtube explains the developer diary style clip as showing two different games, one of which is the new Mass Effect, and the other, an all new IP:
Get an unprecedented look at two new games in development at BioWare. In the next Mass Effect, you will travel to a new region of space, explore new worlds, and discover new characters. At the same time, BioWare is creating a whole new game, built in an entirely new fictional world that is constantly changing.
It's difficult to discern how accurately the footage shown in the video might reflect the final games that ends up being delivered, and it's clear that it's early days yet, but damn if those sci-fi environments don't look lush.
