Acclaimed RPG developer BioWare has dropped a mysterious teaser trailer for what appears to be an announced game, telling us only that "The time is near... they are watching. Your power is rising. You've been chosen", and asking "what really happens when we sleep?".

According to VG 247 the video has been linked to a recent trademark filing by publisher and BioWare parent company EA for something named "Shadow Realms", which seems to suggest a full reveal shouldn't be too far away -- perhaps the 2014 GamesCom expo in Cologne in a few weeks time.

Whatever it is, it's certainly a departure from the usual themes of BioWare games, which have traditionally been straight up sci-fi and medieval fantasy.
