Irrational Games has peeled back information on a season pass for the upcoming action FPS BioShock Infinite, revealing three add-on packs in development that provide hours of additional gameplay and continue the player’s journey in the sky-city of Columbia with new stories, characters, abilities and weapons.

Currently no details have been announced as to what exactly the DLC will contain, but Irrational Games plans to launch the Season Pass on March 26th alongside the release of the game. According to the announcement the total cost of the add-on packs will total $19.99 for PS3 and PC or 1,600 Microsoft Points, and will also include the Early Bird Special Pack at no extra cost
Those who purchase the BioShock Infinite Season Pass will also receive the Early Bird Special Pack at no extra cost. This bonus pack contains four pieces of exclusive gear, a Machine Gun Damage Upgrade, a Pistol Damage Upgrade, a gold skin for both weapons and five Infusion bottles that allow players to increase their health, their shield durability or their ability to use Vigors by increasing the quantity of Salts they can carry.

In addition, those who pre-order BioShock Infinite will receive the Industrial Revolution Pack for free. This pack grants exclusive access to three in-game gear items that boost combat abilities, $500 bonus to in-game currency, five lock picks and the Industrial Revolution puzzle game, which unlocks stories of Columbia and allows players to pledge their allegiance to the Vox Populi or Founders through Facebook.
If you haven't yet, you can check out AusGamers recent interview with BioShock Infinite Design Director, Bill Gardner who discusses the everything from the more RPG spin on elements of Infinite, to the complexities of Elizabeth's design. BioShock Infinite will be out on March 26th for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The fact that its over a month away and they have announced this is a f*****g joke. Hey, I'm still going to buy it because Bioshock is my favorite franchise ever, but this makes me lose respect for them incredibly...
