AusGamers was recently invited out to a special preview event in Los Angeles to be among the first in the world to play the long-in-development BioShock Infinite ahead of its newly announced release date of March 26 (yep, delayed).

While many questioned the complexity of the game's combat design, its new outdoors direction and voiced main character, we walked away from the event sold almost entirely on what lies ahead for gamers everywhere in 2013. This is going to be one of the best releases of 2013, that much is sure, but how much further Irrational Games can pull us in is one of the most tantalising aspects we discovered in our time with the game.

Another delay! This better be perfect by the time it comes out or have something to show for all the extra time =\

I'm getting to the (ahem) advanced baby boomer age where ongoing game delays start to bring up some interesting factors (hand and finger dexterity issues and gameplay session lengt hstart to be real dilemmas for example) but this is one instance where I am prepared to wait it out, and upgrade my rig to ensure I'm ready for it. I still remember the lighthouse from the water in the original Bioshock being a high watermark (no pun intended) in my gaming experience, and this seems to be heading in the same momentous direction. Thanks for the teaser, Steve, tic...tic...tic...
