And it won't go the Gwent route to feature a closed off version of the game exclusively for PS4 players. At QuakeCon last weekend Bethesda was proposed the cross-play question from the likes of Eurogamer and Game Informer when it came to the publisher's plans to expand the platforms that its Elder Scrolls card game Legends was available on.
Speaking to
Eurogamer, Pete Hines noted that, "For Legends it's absolutely critical, both cross-play, which is how Legends works right now on every device - you're playing against somebody who could be on any device - and, more importantly, cross-platform progression, which means no matter what you do on any platform, you load up the game and so long as you're logged in, here is all your progression, here is everything you had, everything you were doing."
Adding that splintering one platform from the rest would be a bad decision on Bethesda's part. This follows on from recent confirmation from Bethesda Games Studios Todd Howard that cross-play support for Fallout 76 was being held back by Sony.
Currently The Elder Scrolls Legends is getting a rework in the form of a new interface and design prior to the planned console ports.
