If we're to assume that
Bethesda Game Studios will be developing
Fallout 5, that means it's release will come after
Starfield and
The Elder Scrolls 6. In a new
interview with IGN, BGS head Todd Howard mentioned that when it comes to Fallout 5, the team has a "one-pager" outlining where it wants to go with the next Fallout proper.
Which of course begs the question, with Bethesda and Obsidian now a part of the Xbox Game Studios family -- would the studio behind Fallout: New Vegas be a good fit for the next game in the series?
"Fallout's really part of our DNA here," responds Todd Howard. "We've worked with other people from time to time – I can't say say what's gonna happen. You know, we have a one-pager on Fallout 5, what we want to do."
So yeah, that's a maybe. Again, it sounds like Fallout 5 at this stage is merely an idea. Bethesda Game Studios is currently in the home stretch for Starfield, and after that The Elder Scrolls 6.
