Bethesda has taken to their
official blog to outline the end of development for the most recent Elder Scrolls title, Skyrim. The update details that all game content has now been finalised and completed, with a majority of the team moving onto Bethesda's next big project which has yet to be announced. While this means the end of game content development, the team will continue to address minor updates to Skyrim when necessary.
For the last year and a half we’ve been working on new content for Skyrim; from the game updates, Creation Kit, Steam Workshop, Kinect support, to DLCs. Parts of our team have also been in pre-production on our next major project, and that game is at the point where it requires the studio’s full attention to make it our biggest and best work yet.
We loved hearing your stories, your in-game triumphs, and your suggestions. One thing stuck out to us through those emails, letters, and postings. And that is – video games matter. They’re as important to you as they are to us. It’s not just about entertainment, it’s about your time. And you chose to spend it with our game.
Currently it isn't clear what exactly Bethesda are working on for their next big title, with a number of large IPs under their helm including Fallout and Elder Scrolls series. What is clear though is the teams at Bethesda are eager enough to support their titles through various means, which is great news for any fan.

Just a pity that they never fixed the UI-keybinding issue on PC... (if you rebound the in-game keys, the UI was also tied to the same action input, presumably for console controlling porting reasons, and so got rebound too. Except, then the UI text would still print the default keys, and half the time neither the default or rebound key would do anything on the UI once changed).

So we will never get to see a resolution of the Aldmeri Dominion story line. That is really crap, a lot of the fans really wanted to go to war with them for the independence of Skyrim.
They said their DLC's would be less but bigger, honestly, both DLC's were only medium in size, Fallout 3 had 5 medium sized DLC's.....

Anyway I think the community will be able to take this game even further than the Dev's. If it was not for the modders and scripters Skyrim vanilla would be just that. Skyrim chess anyone?
