... whatever it is you want to know. AusGamers, as you know, has already done a plethora of coverage on EA and DICE's forthcoming shooter, but just weeks ahead of the game's launch, we're out at a special preview event for this in Vegas, and many other games, and want to give you guys a chance to finally see where you stand on the Holiday shooter fence, especially if you can only own one.
So, here's a forum for you to throw me questions to ask, but it's really important you don't just ask something we already have, and you can catch pretty much all of our coverage
either here, or by
clicking here.
So, if there's a single burning question you've wanted an answer to, this is the place to do it.

A 24 second trailer for a 64 second trailer is an all new low in game marketing. The descent from demos to where we are now is a sorry affair... maybe that is a good thing to ask one of the EA PR drones about.

Qmass, it's marketing. Deal with it.

I can answer this one, the reason for the lack of dedi servers (and mod tools) is to take control, this is not new info but since you asked. Also releasing this stuff later on is about as useful as not releasing with working multiplayer, ppl have moved on.
I think the reason Actigay have given LAN & dedi support is because they know they are the underdog in the presence of BF3 and they know many people want LAN/dedi server stuff, also these ppl are mainly on PC and BF3 is one of the first titles in years to push itself on the PC, even to the point of it being the lead platform, but I doubt you could get EA to say so.
As for their marketing if you keep taking it laying down they will just put it deeper every subsequent time, I'm with Qmass on this one.

And in regards to the dedi's, I just don't understand why EA are denying a longer life of BF3, especially when, as you state it, they are pushing for it hard on PC. Wouldn't having your game last forever, like BF2, be something good? Or is the Battlefield series going to turn into Call of Duty now, and Call of Duty is going to turn into the Battlefield series?

- will there be friend-squad functionality? (ie; friends are auto-squaded or can pre-select a squad rather than playing the team swap / squad swap game once in the server)
- will there be co-op vs bots as in BF2? (or is this eliminated by the whole no dedi server thing)

Maybe they intend to release more BF games more frequently and/or push out more DLC. As for their marketing, I'm still not sold but as they say their is no such thing as bad publicity, so I guess you're right there.

Most likely not, with the no dedicated servers and all.

Another question, with the server being out of the game, what happens to features like quick matching etc? What about disconnecting during the game, does it force close and then have to open up the server browser again?

Be interested to see how origin will cope with everyone downloading it the second it comes out.
