Following a major patch update last night, EA and DICE have released another new trailer for Battlefield 3's upcoming Back to Karkand DLC, showcasing gameplay from the final and most anticipated of the remade classic Battlefield map: the iconic Wake Island.
Watch out for another special cameo appearance from the hidden fourth combat vehicle as it crushes through the enemy lines. Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand is yours at no extra charge if you own a copy of the Battlefield 3: Limited Edition, or available to buy at $23.95/1200 Microsoft Points.
Back to Karkand rolls out on December 7th for PlayStation 3 and (inexplicibly) a week later on December 14th for PC and Xbox 360.

In related news, the second patch was recently released for the PC version of BF3, clocking in at 3.9GB. Aside from numerous bug and balance fixes, it apparently contains most of the content for Back to Karkand.

BTW isn't the early release date for PS3 due to the renege'd promise of free BF1943 to PS3 preorders? Which subsequenlty has been backflipped on and is now going ahead as originally planned....

Will have to try this second PC patch... so far the first patch actually made the game more unstable for me, and I haven't been able to play for more than 20 minutes without crashing to desktop :(

Oh... and this!!!

Should hopefully see more people willing to jump into unpopulated servers!

I thought OP said $24 for the DLC if you didnt buy the limited edition upon release.

F*** its depressing that this is even an issue. How long have people been playing FPS games (and worse, how long have they been making them) and they still haven't figured out a good pre-round strategy.

It's f***en difficult dude when the s*** you do while you play counts to your score. E.g there are servers out there that are 1 player start and you can go in unchalleneged and do all sorts of s*** and rack up thousands of points, that is, if you're a sad.
