Battlefield 2042 is out this month, and on PC its set to take advantage of GeForce RTX features like DLSS rendering for performance, Reflex for latency, and ray-tracing in the form of ray-traced ambient occlusion. And if you're wondering what that's all about it "adds shadows where game elements occlude light", "between a soldier and a wall, a tank and the tarmac, or foliage and the ground".
Check it out in a new trailer which has one small issue.
That issue being a noticeable performance drop during the helicopter bit at around the 30-second or so mark. With feedback from the recent Open Beta being mixed when it comes to the Battlefield 2042's performance and things like the UI and even the Specialist system, commenters were quick to note the out-of-place choppy chopper performance. Here's hoping that's addressed ahead of launch or with the upcoming Battlefield 2042 Game Ready Driver for PC.
Early Access for Battlefield 2042 starts November 12.
