Battlefield 2042's release date recently got pushed back a few weeks to November 19, but we can now pencil in when we'll all be able to jump in for some Closed Beta and Open Beta action. Next week! With the Beta set to feature the all-new massive 128-player Conquest Mode on the cool sounding rocket launching Orbital map, no doubt it's going to be huge.

For Aussies that have pre-ordered the game (and for EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers), the Closed Beta begins on Wednesday October 6 at 6:00 PM AEST with the Open Beta kicking off on Friday October 8 at 6:00 PM AEST. The Beta will run through the entire weekend and finish up Sunday October 10 at 6:00 PM AEST.

The Beta is set to feature four playable Specialists: the Grappling Hook powered Webster Mackay, the pistol healer Maria Falck, the sentry gun dropping Pyotr "Boris" Guskovsky, and the stealth recon drone sniper Wikus "Casper" Van Daele.

Playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. With the previous-gen versions limited to 64-players no doubt those on next-gen consoles and PC will be getting the better All Out Warfare experience. And on that note here are the fairly modest PC requirements for Battlefield 2042.
MINIMUM PC REQUIREMENTS:
OS: 64-bit Windows 10
Processor (AMD): AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K
Memory: 8GB
Video Memory: 4GB
Graphics card (NVIDIA): Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon RX 560
DirectX: 12
Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
Hard-drive space: 100GB

RECOMMENDED PC REQUIREMENTS:

OS: 64-bit Windows 10
Processor (AMD): AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 4790
Memory: 16GB
Video Memory: 8GB
Graphics card (NVIDIA): Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
DirectX: 12
Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
Hard-drive space: 100GB SSD

With Battlefield 2042 set to support NVIDIA DLSS here's hoping that's available during the Open Beta. Stay tuned on that front, as we'll be bringing our hands-on impressions.

the recommended spec are probably above what most people have but it still looks great and I'm looking forward to playing when it comes out.
