Nintendo has announced the latest entries in its popular portable illegal street monster fighting simulator, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, which are due for release later this year for the 3DS. The two titles were announced in a recent Pokémon themed broadcast from Nintendo, and will arrive in time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pokémon.
Wait, hold on a second. Pokémon is 20 years old? Really? Yeah, turns out it is. In other news, if you remember when Pokémon first came out you're now considered old. But then again, taking a look in a mirror every now and then should answer that question.
As for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, well we don't no all that much, except that it'll probably feature some new Pokémon. The announcement, which comes late in the below video is more focused on celebrating 20 years of Pokémon. And weirdly showing modern kids playing with old timey Game Boys.
Back in my day we only had 150 pokemon and we played on a small monochrome LCD screen and we LIKED IT. That being said I will be impulse buying a 2DS today. Hopefully. A pokemon edition one. If not Ill buy a used 3DS from somewhere.
