Ahead of showing eager fans being shown actual details and features of the game, the promoters of the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts want you to know that several notable Australian musicians, sports players, and other celebrities think the game looks pretty cool.
James Horwill, Karmichael Hunt, Seth Sentry, Merrick Watts, Golden Era Records Aussie hip hop rising stars Trials, Vents, K21 and Aussie magician and mentalist Matt Tarrant were all treated to a sneak peak of the most highly anticipated video game release of 2013 - Call of Duty: Ghosts - and their reactions were captured on film
If, due to success in their chosen field, you have formed respect and admiration for one or more of these people, then perhaps your anticipation of tomorrow's Call of Duty: Ghosts reveal will now be heightened as a result of seeing their positive reactions to the game.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is expected to be shown during Microsoft's next generation Xbox unveiling event, which kicks off early tomorrow morning for Australians, at 3am AEST Wednesday May 22nd 2013.
I have no clue who any of these people are much less why I should care about seeing their reaction to a game. Even if it was one I was seriously hanging out for (much less CoD game of all things) I still wouldn't watch this or give 2 s**** what they think of it.
They couldn't get Dawn Fraser and Prue McSween? Even the fake au version of The Apprentice got them.
When I was a kid the biggest celebrity was Rhonda Birchmore. I have no idea why she was famous, but she was on every damn game show a celebrity could be on. Also there was a demented drag queen that called everyone 'darling'.

Wonder if they'll show this promo video of it on a mac, lol
That guy at 1:06 is ridiculous "it's intense, the graphics that much better", he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. They all look so fake and stupid.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to spot that.
Activisions strategy around COD (and WOW for that matter) is to bring regular joes to the franchise, not just hardcore gamers. They see HC gamers as being impediments to mass audence participation in online (and therefore future pay-to-play models), so it makes sense to use quasi celebs to reinforce the everyman feling they are going for.
This, however, just looks clumsy. For all we know they were watching video of their grandmas mowing the lawn - needed footage. And less macs.

If they wanted to impress us, maybe they shouldn't have used "celebrity types". Merrick? Seriously? None of their reactions seem real at all.

blame the celebrity-worshipers. "celebrity splash" is a TV show after all.
if i watched it i would have just had a stern look throughout, and said "hmmmmmmm" at the conclusion.

Man I can't believe this actually happened haha.
