While out at Gamescom this month, we managed to corner Battlefield 3 DLC Lead Designer, Niklas Fegraeus, to talk to him about BF3's post-release content as well as attempting to get any Battlefield 4 information out of him as possible.

The latter proved quite hard as he and his team are hard at work on the DLC packs, but we did talk to him in detail about the DLC pack design philosophy, emergent gameplay, breaking and exploiting gameplay systems, Frostbite 2.0, what's left after End Game and Loop Zooking, among much more.

Cheers - wish I could have garnered more about BF4 from him. I was originally supposed to interview Patrick Bach, but he'd left : (

I found it interesting the suggestion that the only improvements on FB2 are from the workflow perspective. Seems to suggest BF4 will be similar quality graphics.

I was really hoping to hear it was about getting more out of the engine. Although we still really don't know if it's for current or next gen consoles.
