We've been following the development of Atomic Heart for a number of years now at AusGamers, a new action-packed sci-fi first-person shooter from Mundfish that looks like a little bit like BioShock but set in an "alternative, retro-future version of the 1950s USSR". The latest trailer sets the scene and then some.
And yep, that music is by none other than Mick Gordon (DOOM, DOOM Eternal).
Packed full of cinematic action, including telekinetic glove powers and all manner of funky robots and weird organic hybrids, it looks incredible. If we were pumped about it before, we're now fully aboard the hype train for this. Which is fitting cause there's a few highly detailed trains in this new look.
As per the end of the trailer we've also got confirmation that it's on track for release this year - with "#######BER 2022" listed. Which could mean any time from September through to December. Oh, and it's also worth noting that the above trailer is the English-dubbed version of the game. Which is why the lip syncing is off. Head here to watch it in Russian.
Atomic Heart is set to debut on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One "#######BER 2022".
