One of the more interesting games we saw a few months back coming from developer Deck 13 and publisher Focus Entertainment was Atlas Fallen, a kind of boss-rush style big action-RPG battler set in a desert world with unique monsters and a disgruntled, angry god as its big bad.

On your own or with a friend, take on a heroic journey through a variety of breath-taking environments, swiftly gliding through the desert landscapes of a vast sand-covered world. Explore ancient ruins and unearth the mysteries and secrets of a fallen society. Fight a corrupt god and extraordinary beasts thanks to the divine power of your shape-shifting weapon. Unlock powerful skills and abilities to build a unique moveset and rise as the champion who will liberate the people of Atlas.
We're still not sure what to make of it all, and Focus has a tendency to release shiny information for games that ultimately fall short of all the promise, but the "sand has memory" idea and being able to basically reverse or "fix" broken parts of the environment could be cool. But it could also be very linear and one dimensional.

The jury is still out, but tickle us curious at this point.
