The ASUS ROG (Republic of Gamers) line of laptops offer a wide range of choice, depending on your gaming habits. As suckers for great looking games, we've decided to test out a couple of GeForce GTX 1070 powered laptops from ASUS. The first of which, the portable ASUS ROG Strix GL502VS is up now. And it performed beautifully.

After spending some quality time with the ASUS ROG STRIX GL502VS laptop, a very compact and light design sporting both a high-end Intel Core i7 7700HQ and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 - the end result is clear. This is a beast that performs in the sort of manner befitting of its dark orange ASUS ROG logo and keyboard backlighting. But even so, perhaps its most impressive feature is the 120Hz NVIDIA G-SYNC display - a still relatively new bit of tech that synchronises a screen's refresh rate with the graphics card. A feature that you’d only really know you’d need after seeing it in person. And we say need because it’s hard to go back to regular non-synchronised gaming after playing a few hours of DOOM like this.

And check back tomorrow as we take the bigger (in size) G752VS for a spin.

pretty sure the 120hz screen option is tn which would explain the s***** viewing angles. the 60hz listed in the specs would be the ips option.
